First confirm the model, firmware and phone permissions

This guide is limited to GR III / GR IIIx and the corresponding HDF / Special Editions listed on the official link page. GR III / GR III HDF requires firmware V2.00 or newer; GR IIIx / GR IIIx HDF requires firmware V1.50 or newer. First turn on Bluetooth and location information on your phone, and allow GR WORLD to find nearby devices; the permission name will change with the phone and system version. 〔G-RG-01, G-RG-02〕

First pairing

Select "Register new camera" in GR WORLD, then select GR III / GR IIIx. On the camera side, enter Bluetooth Settings in the settings, set Action Mode to On, and enter Pairing → Execute Pairing. After the camera displays the pairing prompt, search for the camera in the app, check the device name on the app and camera screens, and then select it. Menu and screen terminology may vary slightly depending on the version. 〔G-RG-03〕

Check the verification code and complete registration

When connecting for the first time, the phone and camera will display a six-digit authentication code. Confirm that the codes on both ends are consistent, and follow the phone App prompts to allow pairing; if the phone does not pop up the input page, check the notification area. After completion, the camera will show registered and appear on the GR WORLD homepage. This step describes the official process and does not represent the actual measured connection results on a specific mobile phone. 〔G-RG-04〕

Still unable to connect after pairing

If the old pairing is only retained on one end or the connection status is mismatched, select Reconfigure connection in the Camera Settings of the App, and remove the other party from the Bluetooth paired device list of the camera and mobile phone respectively, and then return to the first pairing process. 〔G-RG-05〕

Browse and import camera images after pairing

After the camera is registered/connected to GR WORLD, use the camera wireless LAN to browse images on the camera memory or memory card in the app and select to import. Filter by JPEG, RAW, video, transfer status, or shooting date; images imported to your phone will display the phone icon. Ricoh's current instructions do not give a fixed click path here that applies to all versions, and the interface will change depending on the camera, system and app version. 〔G-RG-06〕

Announced iOS 27 / GR WORLD 1.4.0 import issues

Ricoh announced on 2026-09-18: When iOS 27 devices are paired with GR WORLD 1.4.0, some functions may be abnormal, including the inability to import images from the camera; the temporary solution given in the announcement is to turn on the phone's "Settings → App → GR WORLD → Notifications → Allow notifications". This information carries the announcement date. Before publishing, you need to check again whether the problem still exists and the status of the repaired version. 〔G-RG-07〕
